The problem we're focused on
Farming decisions — what to plant, when, how to respond to a changing season, where to find a fair opportunity to sell — are often made with less timely information than they deserve. The knowledge frequently exists somewhere; reaching the farmer who needs it, in a usable form, is the harder part.
What we're building
Kilimo Hub is an agriculture app built around the farmer, not around a single data feed or feature. The goal is one approachable place for practical farm information, decision support and access to relevant agricultural opportunities — designed around how farming decisions actually get made.
Why agriculture, why now
Agriculture remains central to livelihoods across Kenya and the wider region, and digital agriculture is still early enough that thoughtful, farmer-first design can make a real difference. Kilimo Hub is Verta Group's attempt to bring the same discipline we apply to technology and healthcare to agriculture: start from the real problem, and build something genuinely usable.
