It started with people who wanted to build

Verta Impact did not start as a plan. It started because we were already working closely with young builders, people who wanted to learn, experiment and create with technology, and helping them turn that curiosity into practical work.

We have seen what happens when someone is given the right guidance, the right environment and an actual opportunity to build something real. That is what is driving us to expand Verta Impact now, opening it up to more young people, schools, churches, community organisations and mentors.

Not a classroom. A building environment.

Verta Impact is not a generic CSR programme, a free coding class or a traditional training centre, and it is not about collecting certificates. It is about people, practical technology and real-world building.

The areas we work in include web development, mobile app development, software development, UI/UX, artificial intelligence, automation, digital productivity, cybersecurity awareness and technology entrepreneurship. But the point was never the list of skills. The skill matters. What someone does with it matters more.

That is the path we try to support: curiosity, into skills, into ideas, into real projects, into real-world experience, into new possibilities.

The Verta Project Garage

Bring an idea, and let's see what we can build. Inside the Project Garage, young builders take an idea through design, build, test and deploy, moving past tutorials toward projects that can actually exist in the real world: websites, mobile applications, software systems, AI-powered tools, automation and community technology solutions.

Not every idea becomes a finished product, and we don't promise that it will. The point is learning by taking an idea seriously and genuinely attempting to make it real.

One problem. One team. One solution.

Alongside the Project Garage, young builders take on the Verta One-Problem Challenge: identify a genuine problem around them, and work as a team to explore a technology-based response. The question isn't "what can we code?" It's "what problem can we solve?"

Verta Digital Clubs, and community partnerships

We are expanding this work through partnerships with schools, exposing young people to practical technology including coding, web and mobile development, AI, cybersecurity, digital creativity and entrepreneurship. Schools aren't beneficiaries in this; they are partners in developing the next generation of builders.

We are building similar partnerships with churches and community organisations, focused on practical digital literacy: online safety, AI awareness, cybersecurity, digital productivity and responsible technology use, brought closer to the communities they serve.

Showing the work: Verta Demo Day

Verta Demo Day is where young builders show what they have created, to parents, schools, businesses, technology professionals, mentors and community organisations. The point isn't to tell people what you learned. It's to show them what you built.

It also runs both ways. Verta Impact isn't only expert to young builder; it's young builder to Verta too. Young people regularly introduce us to technologies, digital behaviours and ideas we would not have found on our own.

Who can be part of it

Young builders who want to learn, experiment and build. Schools interested in practical digital learning. Churches and community organisations building digital literacy locally. Technology professionals willing to mentor. Businesses with real problems young builders could explore as projects.

We started with a few. We're opening the door to more.
